The Hopeless Romantic

This is my blog of the daily musings of my life. The details of my thoughts and feelings as a lesbian in Sheffield. With a mad and slightly weird family, but truly blessed having found my soulmate: FT. It's not always interesting, not always happy, but always honest and true! The fight for my dreams begins!

That Little Tag Thing From My Lady's Journal!

1. Who was your first prom date?
Erm, well, the first ball type thing I went to was my department's annual ball last April, which almost all my fellow final year students attended. I was proudly escorted by my beautiful lady FT, we both got glammed up and had one hell of a night!
2. Who was your first roommate(s)?
It was five other girls in a student flat at university... none of which I would have chose to live with! And nearly left uni 3 months in as they were making me so miserable! They were called Debs (she was like the one I actually did get on with, but was the messiest person ever)! Rachel (a compulsive weed head who had the whole flat stinking of weed, which made me physically sick), Sue-Ann (a malasian student who was never in the flat), Tess (who was, well, just weird!), and Laura (a Californian student who had her head up Rachel's arse)! Then Rachel left and was replaced by some French person whose name I can't remember.
3. What alcoholic beverage did you drink the first time you got drunk?
Think it was probably cider... and have been drunk on it a few too many times now, so tend to stay away from it!
4. What was your first job?
Did some temporary admin work in the office of an estate agents... the boss was a complete dickhead, but my colleagues were great! Needless to say they all ended up leaving!
5. What was your first car?
It was a G Reg Ford Fiesta 1.1. And it might not have been the newest car on the road, but it was my pride and joy, and I loved it! The first car I had after passing my test... I said a tearful goodbye to it when I sold it!
6. When did you go to your first funeral?
I was in year 12 at school, and doing my A levels, so I must have been 17 or 18. It was the funeral of a family friend who had Downs syndrome, and it was a very sad occasion. I never went to my granddad's funeral when he passed away, as my mum thought I was too young to really understand, and didn't want to upset me. Probably just as well, as she had a fist fight with my arsehole uncle at the wake!
7. How old were you when you first moved away from your hometown?
I moved away from home to university when I was 20.
8. Who was your first grade teacher?
She was Mrs Payne, and she wore glasses... that's all I can remember. Then I had Mrs Bonnell who had an old citroen car with a funny roof!
9. Where did you go on your first ride on an airplane?
To Zante and we flew on my birthday, and I was well excited! But completely scared at the same time!
10. When did you sneak out of your house for the first time, who was it with?
I've never snuck out of the house, never in my life.
11. Who was your first Best Friend and are you still friends with them?
My first best friend was a girl called Tracie Tomlins at primary school, and we just sort of drifted apart when we started secondary school... probably cos the school she went to was just round the corner from mine, and they were complete enemies!
12. Where did you live the first time you moved out of your parents house?
In a student flat at university in student accommodation. Fairly crappy to be honest, and not a patch on the humble abode I share with my beautiful lady now!
13. Who is the first person you call when you have a bad day?
My beautiful lady, who can make the world a better place just by the sound of her voice!
14. Who's wedding were you in the first time you were a bridesmaid/groomsman?
My cousin's wedding, and I think I was 9 or something. I wore a purple dress and was far too girlie for my liking! But I did look cute... and my mum still has the picture on the wall to this day!
15. What is the first thing you do in the morning?
Roll into the arms of my beloved, or wrap myself around her gorgeous naked body and begin spooning her, whilst thinking I'm the luckiest woman in the world!
16. What was the first concert you ever went to?
I can't really remember... I think it was a Gloria Estefan concert, but I'm not sure though... it was either that or a Boyzone concert.
17. First tattoo or piercing?
My mum had my ears pierced when I was 18 months old or something, and the idiot that didn't get the holes lined up straightly, and I'm incredibly self-conscious about them! Hence the fact that I rarely wear earrings, and when I do they are hardly ever studs!
18. First celebrity crush?
I can't remember! I had this thing about falling for women characters in soaps and films and things, but convincing myself that it was the male character that I liked... the joys of lesbian denial!
19. Age of first kiss?
I can't remember that either! Probably with an old family friend called Anthony, our families had a bit of a thing about us being an 'item'... you know what parents are like with two young kids! Anyway, I'm sure he was gay! He sounded gay, even at 8! And he played with girls dolls like barbies and things! Kinda ironic really, how both of us were gay!
20. First crush?
Can't remember! Thought one of the girls in my form at school was kinda fit, but was in complete denial then too!
21. First time you did drugs?
I've never done drugs before, in any form, and never would.
